Eden: overcast at 22 degrees
Unfortunately, we couldn't disembark in Sydney as planned due to issues with a passenger who was taken off late in the evening; the security checks in Australia are quite strict. Upon arriving at the ports, several police officers with sniffer dogs come on board to check us. As a result, we arrived in Eden instead of at 9 AM, but at 1 PM. Our tour, a hike through the wild coast of Beowa National Park, was thus shortened by 2 hours. It's a pity, but we still got to see the diversity of vegetation in Beowa National Park. The first piece of information was: Always step firmly on the ground because of snakes, spiders, etc.; yes, after all, we are in the wilderness of Australia. A ranger explained to us about the different trees, bushes, and shrubs, and we were quite amazed at the various uses for the leaves. Then we continued to the red rocks and the sandy beach. To our surprise, we even spotted a kangaroo in the wild. The aperitif in the small village of Eden rounded off this beautiful nature experience. So now we have a day of rest at sea and then we'll arrive in Melbourne.
