Cape Town South Africa: sunny 17-22 degrees
Ernst booked our trip through Cape Town online via Get Your Guide, and everything went smoothly with the Hop on Hop off service. At 8 o'clock, we were already on land and could directly board our bus, which later turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck. On this tour, we discovered Cape Town's geography and culture from its historical origins to modern shopping centers. No visit to Cape Town is complete without seeing Table Mountain, the city's most famous landmark. However, the day before it was too windy, and the cableway was not operating. When we arrived at the base station at 9:30 am, we couldn't believe our eyes, as the waiting line was endlessly long. With a bit of cleverness, we accidentally found ourselves way up front; we had no idea how that happened. So instead of waiting 4 hours, we only stood in line for 45 minutes. On Table Mountain, we enjoyed the breathtaking view of Cape Town, the vineyards, and the beach. Then we continued on our Hop on Hop off bus to the beach and the waterfront. The waterfront always captivates us anew with its vibrancy, joy of life, and African music. Satisfied and happy about this uniquely beautiful day, we strolled back to the ship. The next stop on April 18 is Namibia, goodbye until then..............
