Early in the morning, arrival in Uto'roa on the island of Rei'atea, the sacred island.
Rei'atea has about 12,900 inhabitants, experiencing rain once a day (year-round) and is home to the only navigable river, 'Faaroa', in the Society Islands. This means a tropical climate, currently 31°C, very fertile, a true paradise of a garden.
Together with the sister island Tahaa (the vanilla island) and Tahiti, it is also the origin of black pearls.
Marae Taputaputea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses a number of Mara (religious sites).
In the evening, continue towards Samoa. A very slow journey along the island of Tahaa with its many coral reefs and the 'Motus', small sand islands, and finally passing the legendary island of Bora Bora.
