Hello everyone :) I haven't written in the last two days because I didn't have much to report, but now I'll catch up briefly!
On Sunday, January 28th, we slept in a little and just hung out at the hostel. In the evening, we went back to the old town of Hoi An and it was enchanting again. I don't know why, but the city has an incredible flair. After that, we participated in a Beer Pong Tournament. And who did we lose against? Of course, against a Dutchman. Typical :D And especially since we were leading 6 to 1 and then he mercilessly caught up. Well, it was a funny evening.
On Monday, January 29th, Erkan and Prache left us.. :( Erkan flew directly from Danang to Saigon and will spend 3 more days there, and Prache changed hostels. Especially Erkan left a little hole in our hearts. Well, we'll stay in touch and have already been invited to a barbecue at his place in Fritzlar :D Prache also said we can visit her in New Delhi anytime. Isn't that great !! So we were back to three. We didn't do much, except go out on the street to walk around the block once. In a side street in front of the hostel, there were two dogs. They belonged there. A big black one and a tiny puppy that looked like a little sausage. So cute. When we walked by, the two immediately got up and followed us. They just started walking with us. We tried if they would still follow if we changed direction. Actually, they did. The big one would go ahead and across the street and then back again. The little one always looked at him. We couldn't bear it. We walked back and took the little one home. Phew, a little rascal brought home safely again :D The big one was back by our side on the street and kept walking with us and constantly crossing the street. We had about 100 heart attacks and tried to keep everything inside us. Then we discussed it and agreed that we couldn't take him with us :D Fortunately, at that moment another group of backpackers arrived, they called to him and petted him. They walked in the opposite direction and our dog joined them immediately and walked with them. We were relieved, but also sad how quickly he sold us out :D The backpackers were surprised and asked why we didn't want to take him with us, until they understood that he wasn't ours, but a street dog. That was definitely a big laugh! :D In the evening, we went into town, still ate the local dish Cau Lau. Soup with thick noodles and chicken and little crackers. Very tasty. Then we said goodbye because Rene took another bus to Nha Trang. But we saw him here again. We got baggage tags, water, refreshing wipes, and our seat number, and got on the bus. We had to take off our shoes and were given a plastic bag. The bus has a total of about 42 sleeping places. One row, then aisle, one row, then aisle, and another row, all in bunk bed format. Adventurous :D Tim and I slept on the top. Me in the middle and he by the window. So you have a seat that you can almost recline and in front of you is a tray where you put your feet and a small table with storage compartments. Behind the seat, you can open a flap to put your shoes in. It was really comfortable and also relatively spacious. And off we went to Nha Trang at 12.45 pm as planned. But we arrived after 10 hours, around half past 4. So we were dropped off somewhere in empty Nha Trang :D Off to the hostel, where we couldn't check in yet because the room wasn't ready. So we got to sleep in the luggage room on a bed and try to sleep a little. Well, at 9 o'clock on January 30th, Rene came from his hostel and we set out on a rented scooter to the waterfall. The day didn't start well, but it continued wonderfully! It was the first day since we've been here that was really warm, sunny, and not cloudy. The 30 km to the waterfall went along the coast and through mountains. We had beautiful views! When we arrived at the waterfall, we first walked to the source and then into the water :D It was so clear and turquoise blue! After Rene tested it, Tim and I dared to go in too. There was a rope that you could use to pull yourself into a small cave under the waterfall. For the first moment, it was a bit scary because the water splashes on you and you think you're going to drown, but when you're on the other side, it's really cool :D You're in a little alcove and the water falls behind you. Once again, we realized the power of water! When we were back on the stones with our clothes, we were really exhausted from all the splashing around. We then went back to the restaurant where our backpacks were and drank a giant coconut and played Skip-Bo. It felt like a vacation. Then back on the scooter and back. We stopped at a building that we wanted to visit. But then we gave up because you couldn't even see the building due to all the Russians and Chinese people. Nha Trang and Mui Nhe are for some reason very popular among Russians and especially among Chinese. You can tell that the city is also geared towards them. There are many restaurants for Russians, a lot is written in Russian, and you can also clichédly buy vodka in every store :D But that's not a problem, instead we went to the beach. This one is particularly beautiful. The waves were very strong, so first Tim and Rene dared to go in. But when I saw how much fun they were having, I quickly changed (which is not so easy with the wind and just a towel :D) and jumped in too. Hallelujah, it really spun us around. Sometimes you didn't know anymore which way was up and which way was down and if you still had your bikini on or if it already belonged to the sea. But it was a lot of fun :D In the end, I had sand everywhere and still can't get rid of it, but it was wonderful !! In the evening, we went to the street, ate something, and enjoyed ourselves. It was a really nice day! On the other hand, our hostel room is not so nice. Our room neighbors are Scandinavians and judging by the look and smell of the room, the 3 guys have been here for a while and don't plan on leaving anytime soon :D Well, it has to be enough for sleeping, just one more night. Last night, they came to bed at 3.30 am and made a ruckus. That was annoying ;( Well, this morning Rene also left, he's already going to Dalat. We'll see him again in Saigon at the latest. We've seen everyone at least twice so far. It's really funny because suddenly in the middle of the city, you're approached by people or you yourself approach them saying, 'Hey, we know you from there and there'. Well, for now, Tim and I are back to being just the two of us. Nice too, but we already miss them a bit :)
Today, January 31st, Tim and I spent the whole day at the beach, it was very nice! Now we're lying on the rooftop bar, relaxing. Let's see what else we'll do today :) I treated myself to a cola and it was also the cheapest one I've had since I've been here. I'm such a lucky devil :D
