Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya

Today we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya, which has existed in parts since 1371. You can really notice this in the tall trees and other large plants. It is an 80-hectare area with various sections for ferns, orchids, succulents, a rose garden, trees, and more.

We were able to observe the squirrels enjoying the fruits of the Cannonball tree and scampering across the various palms. We also saw various birds, monkeys, and flying foxes.

The grounds are very well-maintained and absolutely worth seeing. We spent three hours here but still didn't see everything.
