On the go again

When we arrived in Skjol 5 days ago, the weather took a turn. There was constant rain and wind all over Iceland. Since there was no destination with better weather, we decided to stay there as there was a large, warm common room. We spent a total of 3 full days waiting out the weather and just hanging around the place - it was no pleasure. But we really wanted to go to the Langjoekull glacier. This finally became possible on Sunday. We went up to the glacier and were able to complete our hike. It was a very special experience on this enormous ice expanse. Afterwards, we continued to Laugarvatn, where we met Harry again with his son Lorenz and spent a nice evening together. Today, we stopped a few times on our way to Akranes, from where we plan to observe the solar eclipse depending on the weather forecast.
