Water and Sand

This morning, at 4 degrees and with a strong wind, we set off after two very nice days in Landmannalaugar. Before heading south, we spontaneously drove along the F228. The track leads through seemingly endless plains of lava sand with some river crossings to a plateau with a small cluster of fishing huts. Upon reaching the Ring Road, we visited Seljalandsfoss, the waterfall where you can walk behind it. The nearby Gljúfrabúi is even more interesting as it is located in a walkable gorge.
