Attraction
Skogafoss
Skógar, Island
Stroll
Skogafoss → Fluss und Schlucht am Skogafoss
4h

Today we just wanted to quickly check out another 'Iceland attraction', the Skogafoss. It wasn't easy for us to visit such a place again, surrounded by buses and hundreds of people, after getting used to the peace and seclusion of the North. So we went there and admired it, but we not only went up to the platform but kept walking along the river and the gorge. The further we went, the fewer people there were, and the more impressive the gorge and the many beautiful waterfalls became. We were on the trail for a total of about 4 hours and found it much more impressive than the quite grand Skogafoss, which owes its popularity to its good accessibility by buses and cars. Then we continued towards Vik, unfortunately again in bad weather just like a month ago. We also passed by some sights that always charge a daily fee for parking, and one can barely see anything in this weather anyway.
