Hanoi

Singapore saw all the way to departure at the airport that someone had thought things through, so we could pass the waiting time by looking at beautiful butterflies. Thank you for this time Singapore - the reunion after 16 years did not disappoint.

Off with Vietnam Airlines to Hanoi, where the temperature is about 10º lower than in Singapore. So we can keep the long pants and sleeves on without totally melting, to avoid the mosquitoes.

The contrast between the two cities is indescribable! Hanoi is a cauldron of cars, scooters, and people. You need to get used to the traffic culture - if you want to cross the street, you just go. The other road users will drive around you, so you shouldn't hesitate or stop. It's a bit of an adjustment.

We checked into the hotel, after which we went in search of food and drink.
