2nd and last full day in this amazing city. We had planned to visit Flying Singapore and the surrounding area. So after breakfast, we set off - now completely accustomed to the transport here. However, we were a bit tired that rain was promised for most of the day - luckily, meteorologists here are no better than at home 🌞😎
Flying Singapore is 165 meters high!! For those who know my reservations about heights, it may come as a surprise that I went up. But the experience was worth it - an amazing view despite a little rain haze. What a beautiful city! Unfortunately, we didn't make it up to the stunning building Marina Bay Sands with the 'ship' on top - others had the same idea, and the kilometer-long queue in the heat was not inviting.
Lunch was enjoyed at an ice cream stand 🍦🍦🍦🍦
We wandered across the bridge, its construction inspired by human DNA, further through Garden by the Bay up to Supertree Grove. Both the garden and the structures were worth a visit.
After an hour's siesta, we headed towards Raffles Hotel to enjoy the iconic Singapore Sling and throw peanut shells on the floor in the company of many other tourists 😜
A stroll along the waterfront to a food place where dinner consisted of fish - again very flavorful. Our taste buds are truly getting spoiled.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 1st, we are moving on to Hanoi. More from there later.
