Bali

Bali is a beautiful island in Indonesia at the Indian Ocean. There are some advice that I want to give you, if you decide to go to Bali.

- Give and take things always with the right hand and never with the left. In Bali, the left hand is considered unclean.

- Don't point the finger at people; that could be seen as a challenge. If you need to point to something, use the thumb of your right hand.

- Don't stand next to the person sitting. If you have to pass a person sitting on the floor, apologize (Maaf or Sorry).

- You greet each other, whether you know each other or not.

- There are some taboo states in which you are generally not allowed to enter a temple: menstruation, open wounds, mental illness, or state of grief.
