Start to Canada
August 23, 2025 And once again, our big summer tour is upon us. This time, we are heading to CANADA 🇨🇦. For the next nearly three weeks, we will be driving through Easter

Toronto awaited us today. However, there was a brief introduction to the topic of breakfast eggs first. Next time, Sunny-Side-Up and Over-Hard will no longer be foreign words 🥚.
After the meal, we headed to our first highlight. The CN Tower is definitely a must for anyone visiting the city for the first time, and even a second visit is fun; it's been 29 years for me.
It's definitely worth buying tickets in advance 😉.
For us, the construction was also interesting, and therefore we were among the few who read the information thoroughly. 40 months of construction time. Today, that seems almost impossible for such a project.
Then we finally went up. Even the external elevators are not for those with a fear of heights.
And then the 'glass floor':
The view was stunning in the sunshine.
By now, we also know that Lake Ontario is the smallest of the Five Great Lakes. But Lake Constance could fit in it 35 times by area!
After looking at everything from above, we hiked around the city. We saw the city from the lake (Harbourfront), the outdoor area of the railway museum 😍, Canada's 'Wall Street', the old and new City Hall, and found ourselves at the Philippine Street Festival, complete with a fashion show (to the music of Carmina Burana 🤔) where we discovered delicious food. The offerings ranged from chicken feet to chicken liver to chicken intestines. We decided that a classic hot dog would win out. However, we did try the lychee smoothie 🤣, and it was delicious.
