From Rettenberg to Wildsteig

Today we reached the highlight of the tour, at least the geographical one. After about 16 km, we reached 1000 m. After that, it continued with some challenging climbs, occasionally too challenging for us. But if you love your bike, you push it. The weather today is not worth mentioning. It was not particularly nice (we hardly saw the sun) nor was it particularly bad (meaning, it didn't rain). Pleasant for cycling, not so nice for sightseeing and taking photos. And there was a lot to see, as we cycled through the Bavarian tourist hotspots with the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, and shortly before our destination, the Wieskirche. Now we just have to see if we can get something to eat in our destination of Wildsteig. The guesthouse where we are staying is closed today, and the only alternative in the village is already fully booked. But there is a beer garden where reservations are not taken. If we get there early, we won't go hungry.
