Departure early in the morning towards Key West, where we wanted to spend five days enjoying the Caribbean vibe, just like last year.
The first stop took us to Robbie's of Islamorada for tarpon feeding. We had done this last year too, and it was so fascinating that we wanted to repeat the experience. It worked only partially because this time the pelicans were so brazen that they claimed most of the fish for themselves. It was still- or precisely because of that- a great fun to stand on the pontoon with those slippery fish in the bucket, basking in the warm sun with a view of the sea and the very large fish 🐟🐟🐟 to feed. This place has a relaxed vibe; you can sit in the sun, snack a little, enjoy a cocktail, check out the stands selling goods, or just feed the fish—or simply marvel at them. Everything is arranged so nicely and appealingly but is still so simple and without much fuss - simply beautiful.
Now and then we definitely took a swim break in the blue sea— in this case, the Atlantic, crossed the Seven Miles Bridge once again with its incomparable views of the ocean, and after the obligatory milkshake- Mcces are only in Marathon😋😉- we arrived at our hotel, the same as last year. We had such great experiences there, so why change, and it was affordable too, which isn't a given in Key West.
In the evening we went to the pool, and we ate at Denny's because we know from experience that it’s always very delicious there.
Insight of the day: repetitions can also be fun and enjoyable!
