We started the day in a relaxed manner with a delicious breakfast right at the hotel. We spent the morning planning our onward journey, sorting the previous pictures, and writing on our travel blog. For lunch, we went to the small "Good Morning Vietnam" restaurant, where we fortified ourselves with huge Bahn Mis before heading to Fansipan. Since a hike to the 3,143-meter high mountain would take several days, we decided to reach the summit with a cable car. To get to the cable car station, we took a small mountain train from the "Sun Plaza" in the center of Sapa to the "Sun World". From there, the fascinating cable car ride started, covering over 1400 meters in 15 minutes and more than six kilometers in length. Arriving at the cable car station at the top, we were overwhelmed by the magnificent view as well as the entire complex with temples and a monstrous Buddha statue. Another 600 steps led us to the top of Fansipan, where we could admire the breathtaking view. In the evening, exhausted from the strenuous climb, we fell into bed without dinner.
