Tag 380 - Spring Hill

Good morning everyone!

First thing this morning, we went to a restaurant for breakfast - proper American style ☺️

We each ordered a menu with eggs, bacon, and I had pancakes while Kevin got french toast.

The breakfast was really delicious, but also quite a lot!

After that, we walked a bit slower back to the RV, packed our things, and made the vehicle ready for departure.

Originally, we wanted to get a bit closer to “Crystal River,” find a nice spot, and spend the afternoon lying in the sun.

But after about an hour of driving, I started looking for a campsite, and soon we realized that this was not as easy as it seemed. We spent a large part of the afternoon going from one campsite to another.

Some campsites were closed because it was Sunday, others were for members only, and again others were only for people over 50 years old.

Later in the afternoon, we finally had no more patience and discovered one of the restaurants with free parking. Even though we would have liked a spot with a view, we reached the point where certain compromises are perfectly okay ☺️

We grabbed our scooters and rode to “Hunters Lake.” There we sat down and hoped to see an alligator or something similar.

As dusk fell, we made our way back since it gets really cold here in the evening.

In the RV, Kevin cooked us his delicious burgers, and for dessert, we had donuts too :)

Tomorrow we should reach Crystal River, and we are already looking forward to telling you about it :)
