Tag 379 - Sarasota & South Bradenton

Hello everyone!

Today we made good progress and have now reached South Bradenton.

Our destination is a place called “Crystal River” because there are supposed to be a lot of manatees there ☺️

But we still have a few kilometers to go until we get there.

Once we arrived in Sarasota, we found a great parking spot right by the beach. However, it was quite windy today, which made it a bit challenging to go to the beach.

After enjoying the view for a while, we grabbed our e-scooters and rode around a bit in the area.

We came across a stand selling mini donuts, which was a must! We bought a bag each and enjoyed them at the beach.

Back at the parking lot, we asked someone if it was allowed to park here overnight since we didn't see any signs.

The gentleman kindly informed us that we could stay until 10 PM, after which everyone must leave the area.

Uffff… Luckily we asked… Getting kicked out at night is not an experience we want to have.

So, where can we stay overnight?

The next place Kevin found was the parking lot of a restaurant, which was another 30 minutes away.

We searched a bit further, but the restaurant ultimately became our chosen spot and we set off shortly thereafter.

The parking lot was not bad, there were a few other campers already there, it was quiet and also free.

By now it was already 7:30 PM and we decided to go have dinner at the restaurant. I had a delicious cheeseburger and Kevin had a piece of meat with fries and a large potato. Full and satisfied, we left the restaurant and headed back to the RV.
