11/11 Today was the day for Lawa to have Muay Thai at school, and she thought it would be so much fun, the same place she usually goes. Of course, her cool Muay Thai shorts would...

11/11
After daily training and swimming, we both got caught up with the computer and managed to finish some work.
After a while, we realized we hadn't had breakfast, around 1 PM. We ran to a small hole-in-the-wall cafe and grabbed some fried eggs and a sandwich.
It was one of the hottest days since we arrived, and extremely humid.
Then I had a check-in with my consultant and colleague. What one of the colleagues didn't know was that the meeting referred to as 'short meeting about organizational change' was actually a celebration for her. However, it had the absolute worst Happy Birthday rendition ever, with as many voices as there were participants 😀
We also celebrated Rita, who turns 40 today, hooray!!
Mulle brought Nellie and her mom home with us after school, so it was quite hectic when I finished work.
Lawa had a scheduled meeting with the class at 6:30 PM, so we swung by to pick up the laundry and had a quick dinner to ensure we got home on time.
Mulle tackled a spicy green curry and was sweating profusely. My red curry, which was supposed to be medium, also packed a punch; my nose started running immediately. 🤣
We barely got home before the sky opened up, and a thunderstorm erupted. Luckily, the connection held throughout the conversation with the class, and Lawa was very happy to see them, and I think it was mutual. There were many questions. Are you afraid of scorpions? How hot is it? How many times a day do you swim? What does 'hi' mean in Thai? Etc.
After the call, we went down to the beach to watch the storm, but most of the lightning was flashing in the other direction over the mountains, though we got thoroughly wet 😀
The evening was spent indoors watching Netflix.
