Last day in Bangkok

We treated ourselves to a sleeping-in day and decided not to go out into the city, but to hang by the pool all day long. Unfortunately, we managed to get a mattress that wasn't in the sun, but we enjoyed lounging on it all day.

We packed in shifts so that Lawa could avoid the stress, and we checked out at 1 PM.

We had received permission to shower at the SPA before leaving, and that was just perfect.

We also had a light lunch at the hotel.

After the traffic chaos of the previous day, we decided to take the skytrain to the airport. We were staying at the last station, so we didn't even need to go outside from the hotel, just right across onto a footbridge. When we saw the traffic outside, we understood that it was the right decision.

After sunset on the rooftop terrace, we set off, and now we all long to go home.

When we checked to see where we wanted to sit on the plane, we saw that we would be flying the A380-800, which means a double-decker. We simply couldn't resist buying seats on the upper deck. None of us had flown on a double-decker before.

There were 3 seats left, what are the odds! After some hassle, we managed to get that confirmed.

Calm and cozy atmosphere up here. In front of us is Business, but here where we are sitting, there are only 5 rows in a 2-4-2 configuration. We have our own steward, so everything goes very quickly and efficiently.

The flight went well, even though we couldn't sleep as soundly as on the way down. We are simply too well-rested this time.

We managed to fly right over Grandpa's house too, quite precisely. We waved, of course, but the visibility is a bit poor at 36,000 meters downwards 😀

A bit of waiting in Munich, but we got to enjoy the beautiful snowy landscape. I understand that there is chaos in Gothenburg, so I really hope we manage to find a taxi.
