Groggily, we got up and met Jessica and Marcus who were leaving their bags with us as they were changing hotels.

We made our way to the pier and hopped onto Raksabai, a modified longtail boat that operates tours. It is owned by a Swedish woman and her Thai husband.

We also met another family who was joining the tour, two school friends of Lawa, along with their cousins and grandparents.

Today's trip was heading towards Koh Jum but we started with a stop in the middle of the sea for swimming and jumping from the boat's roof. All the brave kids managed it, and many of us adults did too.

We also got to enter a cave with bats, which everyone found a bit spooky. The kids even held each other's hands.

After that, we continued south to Koh Jum where we had lunch at a resort and also enjoyed swimming in the lovely water. This part of Koh Jum had a much nicer beach compared to where we were on Monday, with no stones at all in the water.

Back on the boat again and we stopped for fishing, managed to get a few but they weren’t particularly big. However, according to rumors, Thais eat everything so they were satisfied.

We made a final stop at a sandbank where the sand was akin to quicksand. The kids entertained themselves by trying to sink as deep as they could into the mud.

We also spotted a stingray and helped the Thais gather clams and water snails. When you walked in the sand, they popped up, and it was just a matter of putting them in the bucket.

Once we arrived at the harbor, we were so tired, even those who hadn’t had a late night. But it was a fantastic day.

Seeing all the snow pictures back home now and really longing for it. Hope there’s some left when we arrive so we can go sledding!
