Woke up to the damn crickets and it was worse than an alarm clock in the darkest of November.

By the way, if you think my spelling is sometimes like a crow's, I can tell you that I finish the diary and upload it late at night without my glasses.🙈

Anyway, it was a lovely breakfast and we are all a bit tired after a night of limited sleep.

Mulle and Lawa stayed in bed to relax, but I went down to the beach to try to find the charm of this island. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it and the memory of the creepy crawlers from yesterday takes a while to get over.

I got both of them going and we went down to do some more snorkeling. Now it was low tide, so we had to swim almost 500 meters to reach the reef. However, there was a lot of boat traffic out there, so you really had to keep an eye on things, even though I think they are used to it.

The day passed very slowly after that. We had to check out from the room and the transfer came about an hour later than planned. Thai time!

Both Mulle and I managed to doze off while waiting, while Lawa divided her time between Lego and hammock.

When we finally arrived at the pier, we started talking to a guy whose girlfriend had jumped into the water to snorkel while waiting for the boat. It turned out that he was the guy from the training facility in Lanta that Mulle had been looking for. He had previously worked at Stena, and old colleagues told Mulle to track him down. There were some laughs about how small the world is and that it was on a tiny island they were going to run into each other!

Speaking of a small world, I got a message from Stockholm saying that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law owned a hotel, the same hotel where we had our Swedish meeting. And Lawa trains Muay Thai with their daughter. Of course!

Unfortunately, they won’t be coming until April, so we won’t get to see each other, but maybe we’ll run into each other in Sandhamn soon again 😀

By the way, I think his girlfriend got a nice snorkeling trip, because just standing on the pier, we saw lots of colorful fish.

The boat ride went smoothly and now it went on the eastern side of the island and thus through the mangrove swamp. Mulle and Lawa even saw monkeys on the beach.

We were all happy when we got home and jumped straight into the pool and had some conversations back home. Lawa got caught up in Roblox games with Noelia and barely wanted to hang up when it was time for dinner.

We didn’t get further than Black Coral, where we treated ourselves to a drink and some Swedish food.

Lawa ran around on the beach and enjoyed being home again.

We managed to get through half an episode of the advent calendar before everyone felt it was time for bed.
