School Graduation

Last day of school, then it's Christmas break. One would think Lawa would be happy about this, but not at all. Mom, I think we should go away for a whole year in 2027! ♥️

We brought out the same clothes she wore on her first day of school to frame everything. There are about 60 students at the school now, including preschool, but after the new year, it will be 150 students.

The morning started with a large assembly where all the kids who are graduating sit in the middle while the others sing the goodbye song. This time it was like half the school!

After that, there was coffee for the parents, which is a bit bittersweet since many start heading home already now. But we still have a few friends left to hang out with.

After the coffee, we went home, and as usual, I swept the terrace when a family stopped outside and said we have a snake slithering in the fence. I didn't get to see it, but Mulle did, and we also got to see her pictures. It was identified as a golden treesnake, which falls under the category of flying snakes. This made me move away from the trees in the garden. Not deadly to humans but can cause severe infections and it doesn't shy away from biting.

In the afternoon, Lawa had her thank-you speech, which means that all the classmates write something about her. Also, Mrs. Ewa summarizes how she has experienced Lawa. Both Mulle and I had to bite our lips.

The teacher told Lawa that it’s thanks to people like her that she loves going to work. Lawa hugged the teacher; she really likes her!

We made it home for a pool swim before it was time for the graduation meeting. Lawa has worked well, so it was no big deal.

That evening it was time for the Christmas show, and all classes were to perform something. (There are only 5 classes including preschool)

Lawa ran out on stage and yelled, Yes, finally the stage is mine! And then the class put on a funny number that was clearly the best performance of all. What enthusiasm!

Afterward, everyone went for dinner and a fire show at Black Coral.

A wonderful way to end both the day and the term.

We also found out that a new girl is coming to Lawa's class at home, and we were so happy it was a girl. There are only 6 girls in the class. Funny enough, there were surprisingly many similarities between this family and the family that left before the summer.🤣
