Up early to make it to the next adventure.

Today we headed to Phi Phi Island for the day.

That’s all we can manage.

When we were there 9 years ago, it was crowded, but now it’s insane. How is that island not sinking!

We had two goals for the day.

1. Eat at McDonald's.

2. Let Lawa experience a legendary island.

We enjoyed every bite today, big Mac is the best!

We had almost 6 hours to spend and actually found some gems we hadn’t visited before.

We strolled along the beach and then made our way up to Viewpoints 1 and 2, but then we couldn’t go further. Our t-shirts were soaking wet from all the climbing up steep slopes and stairs.

But it was beautiful!

So many cats on the island though; you can really see how much Lanta's Animal Welfare contributes. They spay/neuter to prevent an overflow of stray animals on the island.

So many solid black cats we saw, thankfully none crossed our path or else I probably wouldn’t have dared to come down again.

Lawa at least got a t-shirt as a souvenir, but otherwise, it’s just generally expensive there.

We found our old bungalow, which was renovated, but also our hangout on the beach.

Unfortunately, the swimming was a bit boring since it’s about knee-deep for a mile straight out. But we still had some slight dips.

As departure time approached, we all longed to return to peaceful Lanta again.

There are two places I’ll never set foot in again, Venice and Phi Phi!

Once home, we took a long dip in the pool and then Lanta Lilly for hanging out with friends. Nice as usual!

We ended the evening with a drink at Cozy before heading home.
