Krabi

Woke up at 6:40 like a typical work morning but realized that I am on vacation for 3 months now, so I went back to sleep. Mulle woke us up at half past nine and said that we need to go down to breakfast as it will close soon. Really good breakfast and then a quick change for swimming.

We booked a taxi to go grocery shopping for our stay; we had been recommended a bulk store for businesses, and we found a few nice things. I got to taste some fish in the fish section in exchange for letting her take a picture of us.

Lawa has charmed all three girls at the reception, so there are big smiles waiting for us every time we walk by.

When we were about to pay for our groceries, of course, they didn’t accept foreign cards, so I had to run to get cash. Stressed as I was, I forgot my card in the machine. Poof, the first card was gone. No worries, we have our Northmill card. Or? No, it seems we forgot that at home.

Well, a few mishaps have to happen 😜

Unpacked at home and then took a taxi to the newly opened shopping center Central Krabi. There we found many fun things and recorded a birthday message for our bestie who turns 8 today. Hip hip hooray Noelia!

We had bubble waffles with ice cream for lunch; things are good now. Lawa got to spin a lucky wheel and won a fabric bag. And she was in heaven when we walked into a store with separate sections for Stitch, Labubu, Harry Potter, etc. They also have another similar thing to Labubu, but it looks more like a Monchichi here and is very popular. However, we have limited space in our bags, so she had to settle for a hand fan from Stitch.

Back at the hotel, it was straight into the pool.

Dark clouds are starting to move in, so we hope for our first thunderstorm in Thailand. That’s exactly the reason we wanted to come during the pre-season, loved the period in early November with all the thunder and excitement!

We had a quiet dinner at the hotel and an early bedtime; tomorrow we head to Koh Lanta.
