After the Spreewald came the high of excitement

Published: 25.09.2025

After the Spreewald: World Tour in Marzahn – Gardens of the World, we are in love!

Actually, the journey after the Spreewald was over. Actually. But then came this spontaneous flash of inspiration: “Let’s extend our trip by a day and go to Berlin – Gardens of the World!” And what can we say? It was the best decision.

Berlin, you green wonder bag! Who would have thought that you can embark on a world tour right in the middle of Marzahn – without jet lag, but with a cable car, observation tower, and Japanese beer. Welcome to the Gardens of the World, where we lost our hearts among pagodas, palms, and concrete buildings.

Even upon entering the park, you feel: This is not about lawn care, but about garden art with character. 43 hectares full of surprises – from Balinese mysticism to Korean Zen tranquility. And then: Let’s take off! With the cable car, we floated over the grounds like two botanical superheroes, past ponds, temples, and tourists.

In the Japanese Garden, things got really festive: White tea, as elegant as a kimono, and Japanese beer that made us feel more like Zen masters with every sip. We sat there between maple trees and pebbles, sipping tea and thinking: Berlin can also be Kyoto.

The observation tower “Wolkenhain”? An architectural high! From above, you can see not only the gardens but also how Berlin shows itself from its best side – with a hint of wanderlust and plenty of green.

Our highlights:

• The oriental garden with its mosaics – 1001 nights in Marzahn!

• The Korean garden – a peaceful retreat with goosebumps guarantee.

• The cable car – a must for anyone who wants to fly without paying long-haul flight prices.

• And of course: Japanese beer under cherry trees. A must-experience.

Conclusion: After the Spreewald, we thought it couldn’t get any better. Then came the Gardens of the World. A place that is not only beautiful but also wisely designed. Anyone craving a world tour without jet lag should not miss this park. We are thrilled, enchanted – and a little tipsy. Thank you, Marzahn. You surprised us.
