Today we had the whole day to visit the Wilsons Promontory National Park. The weather forecasts had been poor from the beginning. At least we were able to hike to Millers Landing in the morning. There is the southernmost mangrove forest in Australia. However, we usually associate mangroves with warm climates, but here it was below 10°C and very windy. This coastal landscape is still very beautiful, and there are also many birds.

On the way, a kangaroo appeared. At first, it quickly disappeared into the bushes, but after a short wait, it came back and let itself be photographed. It was satisfied with the pictures but didn't have an email address to send them to.

On the way back, it started to rain more and more. We did go back to the center of the park, but the rain was so intense that we couldn't make another hike.

Our alternative plan, to visit the largest apple cider mill, also fell through because there was a private event taking place. We then drove a little further into the town of Foster and had a good coffee and something sweet at a bakery there. To prove that the smaller towns all look a bit like the Wild West, here are a few pictures of Foster.

After that, we returned to our B&B, did some reading, and will have dinner here.
