Crossing Pitcairn - Papeete (Tahiti)

Since there is water between the islands, we are at sea for another three days. At the moment, we have just passed by the Gambier Islands. Although we are only about 5 nautical miles away, there isn't much to see. Gambier belongs to French Polynesia, so we are no longer in British, but in French territory.

Currently, we have an 11-hour time difference, and soon we will approach the International Date Line.

As always, we are entertained by many expert lectures. We have an archaeologist on board who has worked for many years on Easter Island and other South Sea islands. He has also examined the academic publications on the subject and found various errors. In addition, there is an archaeologist who grew up on Easter Island because her parents led the first excavations.

Hasi and Mugg are passing the time with Scrabble. Our 'maid' takes quite a while before our cabin is ready again.
