Today, Saturday (30.05.), we are heading out into the Bothnian Bay. The weather couldn’t be better. A light wind from the south pushes us from Öregrund over the Gävle Bay to the north.
Unfortunately, the pleasure is short-lived as the wind completely dies down and we have to rely on the motor again.
However, after a few hours, the wind changes its mind and starts blowing again, this time from the east.
As evening approaches, we begin the search for a suitable anchorage. The island of Lövegrund, a sheltered bay with mooring buoys, is intended to be our place for the night.
Upon arrival, we have to realize that all the mooring buoys are already occupied. Anchoring is not an option as seagrass grows in this bay, which is protected and must not be damaged.
One of the Swedes at the buoys offers us the chance to tie up alongside him and spend the night.
