Almost exactly one year ago, we spent our last vacation together with Daniel: back then in the beautiful house of the Hasbargens in Nova Scotia, and now we are on vacation together in the lovely St. Pauls in South Tyrol. We are glad that he is here with us now!
The morning light was particularly beautiful today. The photo somewhat captures the mood, but it was worth a try. The day was again quite cozy, and the car was only moved for maneuvering in the parking lot so that Daniel has space for his Mini under the kiwi arbor.
He took almost four hours to get here; there was quite a bit of traffic. But he made it, and we soon set off for a vineyard walk so we could stretch our legs. Of course, he can’t remember anything from here; he was just a toddler when we were last here with him.
In the evening, we had pizza (once again very delicious!), and now we are sitting together on the terrace, enjoying the end of the day. The hosts caught Daniel earlier and chatted with him for a long time; they only knew him from Trude’s stories. She must have given an extensive account of her vacations spent here. He will stay in “her” old room, so today we think fondly of her.
