Day 8 Tianshui/ Blood Donation Day/ Fuxi Performance/ Fuxi Temple/ Nangou Temple in the Mountains/ Dinner

The temple is a major attraction for all of China. The following weekend, we will also get to experience the grand Fuxi Festival in his honor.</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'><i>2. Tianshui Nangou Temple in the Mountains</i></p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>This temple is located 2 km south of Tianshui in the mountains. We were driven there in private cars by students of the Shifu. It was a winding road. This is a Buddhist temple, which is primarily characterized by very old trees. One of them is over 2000 years old, its trunk appears dead but still grows from the top. Additionally, the poet and philosopher Du Fu lived and wrote there. Du Fu, also known as Tu Fu, lived from 712 to 770 during the Tang Dynasty in China, mainly in Tianshui.</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>After a brief stay at the hotel (changing clothes and spraying deodorant), we went to the</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'><br /></p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>invitation for dinner from the master's brother-in-law.</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>And again we were surprised by the generosity and kindness of our hosts. There was a huge feast that was almost a banquet. The only downside was that there was only beer and wine, but the drinks were of really excellent quality. I had to make do with a little bit of brought water.</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>In the hotel, I compensated for the loss of water.</p><p style='color:rgb(0, 0, 0)'>Stuffed and exhausted from the many impressions, we all fell into bed.</p>

The morning started with a relaxed breakfast. Then I went to the bank to pay for the hotel in cash… The hotel is inexpensive because we received a government-sponsored rate as a German delegation.

I met a young woman who was just setting up an action booth in the pedestrian zone - there was also a bus involved. We chatted in English - International Blood Donation Day, and I wanted to take a photo to post. This caused quite a stir: She called all the helpers over so we could all take a photo together. It was indeed quite memorable how communication for a cause can transcend boundaries. May it continue to develop.

Then we headed to the Fuxi Square for moral support of our Taiji group, which had a performance. I filmed. It was quite a large affair there, but we enjoyed a tea ceremony as
