Today includes a bit of sightseeing. We've done the big tours the last two times, so we're taking it easy today.
We start at Darling Harbour with lunch and then take a little boat ride towards Circular Quay. Not only do we have a particularly great view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, but we also pass under the bridge! Very nice.
At Circular Quay, we stroll towards the Opera House, very slowly and leisurely; it is really, really hot today! Luckily, we’re in no rush! The Opera House is admired and looked at from all angles. Even though we have been here before, it is always something special to stand right in front of a world-famous landmark.
We are so moved that we must enjoy the view of the bridge, the Opera House, and a cruise ship further with a bottle of champagne.
For dinner, there’s a highlight on today’s agenda: Skyfeast at Sydney Tower. A revolving restaurant in an observation tower. This way, we can enjoy the city while savoring our meal. The view is great, and the food too. Only the drink service is a bit slow….
Afterwards, we go for a nightcap in Oxford Street. However, we realize that even in the world city of Sydney, Monday is rather quiet… to put it gently.
