And off we go again… for the third time, our journey takes us to New Zealand. This time, we are flying nonstop from Adelaide. The colleagues from Air New Zealand are incredibly accommodating! Already at check-in, we get our seats, and they are quite relaxed about the -slightly overweight- luggage issue. Hello… it’s just about the suitcases, nothing more!
The crew on board is very friendly, and so, despite being an All Eco flight, we are served a small glass of champagne even before takeoff. After takeoff, the fun continues! A little wine before and after meals, and of course, also in between. I chat with the Cabin Manager, who has been flying for only a few months longer than I have. Now I also know what the duty rosters and requesting processes look like at Air New Zealand. A whisky completes the drink offerings, and I desperately need to sleep. We also receive a survival pack to take with us. Incredible❤️.
We have checked into the Novotel at the airport so that we have short distances when it’s time to pick up the campervan.
We are very excited!
