Hello Aotearoa ❤️, 13.01.25
And off we go again… for the third time, our journey takes us to New Zealand. This time, we are flying nonstop from Adelaide. The colleagues from Air New Zealand are incredibly...

Today is the day we start our next camping trip. This time we booked the campervan with Wendekreisen. Since our last visit - just before the Corona pandemic - the already expensive prices for rolling homes have increased significantly. Therefore, we decided on the budget option, which is supposed to provide everything that is particularly important to us: a toilet and access from the driver's cabin.
Wendekreisen kindly offers a shuttle service, but their time management is not the best... instead of the announced 15 minutes, we wait three times as long. Slow and steady...
Our little castle (a term Auntie coined during our New Zealand trip in 2020) is particularly compact this time. Not as small as our Juicy Camper from the first time, but still smaller than the little castle from last time. However, it has everything we need. What’s new for us... for the first time our Rolling Home does not have an automatic transmission... it will be interesting.
First, though, we need to go grocery shopping. And, as expected, that takes longer than anticipated... afterwards we set off towards the Bay of Islands.
The little castle drives well, the cutie does too, and the doll navigates. After just over 3 hours, we arrive at our first campsite. We were at this very spot 10 years ago. Back then, it was not part of Top10, but the change has been good. We enjoy the view, the little castle, and a chilled drink.
