Day 4 Sunrise from my personal rooftop of the world

Hello dear ones, I hope everyone is doing well. Today I had to get up at 3 AM. It's not really my time. But it was truly worth it.

We drove to Puncupata and to the Puya Forest.

Experiencing such a brilliant sunrise at an altitude of 3800 m is something else. On top of that, we were completely alone. Very peaceful and it was 1 degree, incredibly cold. This time I brought more with me, but it still wasn't enough.

We were there for about an hour; the sun rises here just as quickly as it disappears. I was able to photograph vicuñas. They let me get quite close to them.

Afterwards, we drove to the Puya Forest, which is a type of palm. They live to be 100 years old and then die (or so I've been told). On the way there, we took a break where I found a new friend. A dog, you see, it didn't bite ;). It followed us all the way to the forest. Saying 'forest' is a bit of an exaggeration, but that's what it's called.

We also wanted to go to a village where many different kinds of cheese are made. Unfortunately, the road was closed and there was no other way to get there. Probably only with a huge detour via Rome, Paris, Erkner. Thus, our excursion ended and we returned to Ayacucho. There we ate something and everyone went to their accommodations. To meet again this evening.

And as always, I look forward to tomorrow.

Oh and about the dogs, there are many, really many dogs, strays but also many that belong to someone. Here it's the case that many owners let their dogs out on the street in the evening until the next morning. Just like we do with free-range cats.
