Sudavik - Rauðisandur

September 9th, 2023: With better weather than the first time, we drive the route from Sudavik again via Isafjördur - Pingeyri - the Dynjandi waterfall - then this time to the red beach Rauðisandur on the south coast of the Northwest Fjords - which is unusual for Iceland, black ones are normal Beaches, as Iceland consists predominantly of volcanic rock. The campsite is wonderfully located, surrounded by rocks, mountains, waterfalls and directly on the long, wonderful beach. The temperature is sensitive to around 5 degrees...
