Köycegiz Lake - Patara, Gelemis

04/11/2024: In absolute silence, apart from a moderate croaking of frogs, we slept well and, well rested, set off for the sand dunes of Patara. (If our Turkish camping neighbors were celebrating at all, we couldn't hear it). And again the landscape changes: mountains of snow in front of us, it goes up and down, it smells of pine trees, then the sea lies before us. We park in the shade by the dunes, enjoy a nice walk on the beach and a cooling swim. Oh yes, almost forgot: for the first time we got stuck in the sand, but with letting the air out, shoveling away some sand and 8 hands pushing it went well....and for bread (ekmek) it is worth going to the bakery (and not buying it in the supermarket). The sunset or the spectacle around it was a beautiful spectacle to end the day.
