08/20/2023: From Porshöfn we drive to Dettifoss: really impressive, these masses of water....the landscape is very barren, lava rock, boulders, few lichens and mosses. Then further towards the highlands to Mödrudalur, which, at 469m, is the highest still continuously inhabited and cultivated farm in the country.
