In fact, the 'Walpurgisfire 54%' helped us through the night and aided digestion. The stuff: Never again!
In the morning, a glance out the window revealed that the end of the weeks-long spell of good weather had begun. It was raining just then! Is that really necessary?
After yet another very good breakfast at the Harzhotel Güntersberge, we packed our things, and as we started, the rain stopped, but it had become quite cold at 6 degrees.
Today, we had 257 kilometers ahead of us. The tank was just as full as our stomachs, and off we went.

The fuel gauge threatened to drift into the red reserve area after 267 km (with 50 km already recorded before the trip). I started to get nervous when an Avia gas station finally appeared.
It turned out that my worry was unfounded, as 'Ruby' has a tank capacity of 24 liters, and at Avia, we filled up 15.6 liters to the brim. The fuel gauge isn't very accurate, it seems.
At the 'Wagners Hotel in Frankenwald', we settled into a large and nice room. €120 with breakfast for one night seems reasonable to us. We'll see how dinner and the night turn out.
Tomorrow, we're heading to the Bavarian Forest, where we will stay for 5 days.
