The Start - Finally, it begins! -

Can one sleep well before such an undertaking?

Those who have never thought about such a journey certainly sleep well.

Now it's time to go. Having had a light breakfast and packed all our things, we closed the door to our apartment at 7:45 AM, leaving it behind for the next 5 weeks.

All our belongings are stored in the Wing. Together with us, the Wing now weighs over 600 kg. No thigh can endure that, so always stay balanced when stopping at intersections and traffic lights.

Of course, the drive from the North German Plain to the Harz is rather boring. That's why we chose the shortest route via the B4 to Güntersberge, and after 295 km, we arrived safely at the Harzhotel Güntersberge.

Christian warmly welcomed us and had a surprise waiting in our room. Thank you very much for that!

Now we will have a good meal and prepare ourselves in sleep for tomorrow's drive to Northern Bavaria.
