Day 3 - From Franconia to the Bavarian Forest -

After a restful night and a good breakfast, we set off for the next 257 km.

We traveled through the Franconian Forest and the Fichtel Mountains into the Bavarian Forest.

All of this in perfect motorcycle weather. Clear blue skies with fluffy clouds and unbelievably many shades of green from the fields. Plus, hardly any traffic on the winding roads.

Our 'Ruby' handled everything seamlessly and runs like a clock. Additionally, she is content with a full load, using only 5.7 liters of fuel. I can't imagine a better touring motorcycle!

Now we have arrived in Lam and settled into a great apartment.

Before unpacking, we first rode with empty bags to do some shopping.

And now, on the terrace, having a beer.

P.S. We will stay in the Bavarian Forest for 4 nights. I probably won't write every day, but we'll see.
