Perth is one of the windiest cities in the world, located on the west coast of Australia. In fact, the wind whistles through the canyons of buildings here, and hair is always messy.
The city is busy yet relaxed and beautifully situated along the Swan River. A boat ride on the river with the Captain Cook Ferry to Fremantle and a trip to the Swan Valley are fantastic outings. Or visit the world's largest gold coin at the Perth Mint or grab a beer with the South Perth Ferry at the Rambla.
Great beaches for swimming right along the coast of Perth include Cottesloe Beach, Leighton Beach, and Trigg Beach heading north.

And if you're unsure whether to head north or south along the coast in January, meet Brette in the Laundry. Brette made our decision simple with his tips: North + 6 degrees, South - 6 degrees. After enduring multiple days at 45 degrees, our choice for a tour south was quite easy - thank you for that!
