We left Kuala Lumpur by bus heading north. The buses are so comfortably furnished that traveling becomes enjoyable for little money. We made a two-day stop in the Cameron Highlands. This green hilly landscape at about 1500 m with its cool climate is known for its tea and strawberry cultivation. The often foggy moss forest at the highest point is also worth a visit. We explored the area on a guided jeep tour.
We reached George Town on day three. We were very excited about this city, especially about the street art we had heard about before. From our centrally located hotel, the historical part of the city was easily accessible, and we greatly enjoyed searching for the artworks on foot and by rickshaw in the narrow alleys.
