Lyon's Paul Bocuse Market, we ate somewhere else

During our journey, we encountered a French market hall for the first time in Sète, later at the Mercat de la Boqueria in Barcelona, Les Halles d'Avignon, and now Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse.

Of all, the Halles de Sète comes off as the most authentic, while in Lyon everything revolves around gourmet cuisine, very much in the spirit of the Mezen.

The stands are accordingly permanent and designed, the displays exclusive and also suitably priced.

We wanted to have breakfast, which we managed more or less. We tried various cakes and were taken aback when the bill was presented to us, and then we also sampled cheese and sausage.

Most visitors were organized tour groups, probably all from river cruises, more “sightseers” than buyers.

You should have seen the market, but you can spend your money daily at the many markets in the city with local producers, which is definitely worth it. Currently, it's asparagus season, but seasonal fruits are also attractively and sufficiently offered there.

You get your appetite at Bocuse, but you eat elsewhere😊, at home or in the many small eateries found all over the city.
