Romania Day 9 - Off to Bucharest

Our time in Poiana Brașov was coming to an end.

Once again, we were allowed to sleep in until 11 o'clock, and then it was time to leave, or as Bogdan Bergmann likes to say, 'Heidenheim, retreat!'

We fought through the Romanian weekend tourism down into the valley, out of the Carpathian Mountains, where we made much faster progress.

We spent our lunch break at a rest stop. The Kammel bus extended this break, as the original bus could apparently be repaired and was now on its way to us.

Arriving in Bucharest, we first checked into our rooms before heading out again in the evening to get a small impression of the city and have dinner.
