Flea Market Success and Creative Art: Our Project Day for the Environment!

Yesterday morning, the schoolyard transformed into a vibrant flea market. During breaks, the students offered their brought treasures for sale – all with an incredible amount of humor, negotiating skill, and great cheer! The effort paid off more than we could have imagined: we sold almost everything and collected an amazing 300 euros. The entire proceeds will be donated to an environmental organization. A massive success for all of us!
In the afternoon, we continued just as productively. In mixed German-Romanian groups, we dedicated ourselves to an art workshop as part of our environmental theme. Using recycled materials like fabric scraps and plastic packaging, as well as collected natural materials like small sticks and leaves, impressive works of art were created. In their pictures and objects, the teams highlighted important environmental issues – for example, the problem of deforestation in our forests and global pollution.
To conclude, each group presented their project to all participants. A total of 50 students and teachers took part in the subsequent vote: The best five art projects were selected via ballot. Which team won? That remains a secret for now – the results will be ceremoniously announced on the last evening!
It was an all-around fantastic, inspiring, and very productive day.
