Warm welcome and history in Drobeta Turnu Severin

This morning, we were warmly welcomed at the school by the school management and the Romanian team. Two students in traditional attire greeted us in Romanian tradition with bread and salt – a sign of special appreciation. The bread symbolizes the foundation of life, while salt has historically been regarded as a valuable commodity. The bread was even shaped like the map of Romania!

In the morning, we introduced the THS and our current environmental projects at the school. In the afternoon, we explored the historic fortress Cetatea Severinului, an impressive landmark of the city.
