Brazil Day 19 & 20

Our last day in Brazil (09/07) started relaxed with the breakfast buffet at the hotel and free time, which many used to visit the nearby market and buy souvenirs or take one last dip in the pool.

At 12:00 PM, we met in concert attire in the lobby and headed to a photoshoot in front of a historic building. In perfect weather, we took some photos before returning to the hotel complex, where many more farewell photos were taken.

Afterwards, we had time to tidy up, pack our bags, or have lunch until we finally loaded the buses at 3:00 PM.

On the way to the airport in Recife, we made one last stop at the Guararapes shopping center to stock up for the journey or buy some final souvenirs.

Upon arriving at the airport, we checked in our bags and took off around 10:00 PM (Brazilian time). On the plane, we were served dinner, and most of us quickly fell asleep.

This morning, we arrived safely in Lisbon at 10:00 AM (Portuguese time) and had about 5 hours of layover. Thanks to the many shops and restaurants, time flew by and our last flight of this trip took off at 3:00 PM (Portuguese time). We landed in Munich at 7 PM (German time). There, Thomas used the time while we waited for our bags to thank everyone involved in the trip. Additionally, we again celebrated two birthdays, Jonas (09/07) and Annika (today), for whom we naturally sang a birthday song. Fortunately, since all the bags appeared, we were able to quickly walk to the bus and set off back to Heidenheim.

We arrived there at o'clock, where we were already expected by parents and friends, and soon everyone made their way home, where many surely fell quickly into their (long-awaited) beds.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Thomas Kammel, who has motivated, driven, and supported us throughout the year, thus enabling these extraordinary trips. At every concert, he brings out the best in us and is always up for some fun despite the necessary discipline.

Next, we would like to thank Alwina Meissner, who has fantastically accompanied us at all performances, always had good advice on hand, and brought a lot of good humor.

Of course, a big thank you goes to Carmen Roese, who invested an enormous amount of time and energy into the trip planning, reliably accompanied us in all situations day by day, and always provided us with plenty of material for the blog.

At this point, we send many greetings to Daniela Burkart: we thank you for everything you put into this trip. It's a pity you couldn't join us, we missed you a lot and look forward to the next trip with you!

Moreover, Tatjana Lenk was an incredible enrichment for this journey. Without her, we would have been lost in any communication and the trip would not have gone so smoothly. She actively supported us every day, always had infectious good humor, and was an unforgettable part of this journey! (Until next year?!?)

Lastly, we want to thank Olaf and Ella Roese, who significantly enriched this trip. Olaf always helped where he could, often provided a calming presence, and was a great relief for Alwina by handling the sheet music.
