From a new home in London to...
... a new home in Europe. At least for the next four months! Some of you might have heard already. I have taken four months of unpaid leave to have some time for traveling....

It's quite crazy. For a whole year, but especially the last two to three months, I have planned and organized this big journey for myself.
Now the room is completely empty. Everything is packed in boxes and bags and stored safely in the attic. It will wait for me there for the next four months.
Saying goodbye has been difficult for me. It's different to break out of the normal daily grind and prepare for a journey where you'll often be alone. I will miss seeing my friends, flatmates, colleagues, and of course the kids every day.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to what is to come. I have overcome my own inner fears and fulfilled my biggest wish of the last few years.
I want to document my journey a bit on this blog. I think a post will appear at least once a week, maybe even more often. It really depends on how often I change cities or countries. I look forward to everyone who joins me in this and if you have any tips, feel free to share them. My first countries are France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia.
Now the time has come. My backpack and I are off on my travel adventure!
