My first postcard to you comes from Cambridge. I have been here since the first of March and am enjoying the first few days off. Cambridge has always held a special place in my heart. My brother spent his year abroad here, and later his host parents, Penny and David, welcomed me during my language course. Since then, I have stayed in touch with both of them and look forward to visiting them whenever I can.
So on Saturday morning, I headed out to meet my cousin Thea. We were able to stay with Penny and David and experienced quite a bit together.
On Saturday, we took advantage of the nice weather and went to the 'Anglesey Abbey' grounds. A sort of botanical garden with a beautiful country house and vast grounds surrounding it.

The highlight of this trip, alongside the signs of spring, was definitely the Shaun the Sheep exhibition. 12 differently painted Shaun sheep scattered all over the grounds.

On Sunday, we took the time to explore the city a bit more closely. We walked through the streets and alleys, admiring the sometimes very impressive architecture. Of course, we saw Kings College, along with many other universities, visited the market, watched people punting, discovered small artworks, and simply enjoyed the upcoming spring and the warming sun.

I will spend the rest of the week in Cambridge. Perhaps I will take a day trip on one or two days, but otherwise, I'll enjoy the city and the nice weather.
See you soon, your Almut
