Place of longing North Sea

The term 'place of longing' is strongly associated with the 'North Sea' for us. Why this is so and why we occasionally feel wanderlust? Why drive 1265 kilometers from home (where it is also beautiful) to Hvide Sande? No words are needed for that, the pictures speak for themselves.
